Manny Pacquiao wins against Diaz!

Wow! what a fight! This one I enjoyed very much.
The last time I saw him fight I wasn’t impressed cuz’ he seems to be moving slow and out of focus. I thought this fight will be a loss to him but he turned out to be a great sportsman. The way he handled his opponent and the respect he showed. Great boxer this guy Pacquiao!
We usually watch his fight at my house but this time we got invited at a friend’s house and turned out to be a small crowd. Diaz has been a sport too and on his comments after the fight we started dropping those 4-letter words with combinations of some “-ing” too!

One Year Anniversary ni Daddy in advance

Divine Mercy Church at Mesquite but at the chapel..that’s where we had Daddy’s mass. The decision to do the One year death anniversary was due to the upcoming July 4th celebration. Actually my father-in-law passed away on July 4th of last year so a get together was organized in memory of him.
After the mass we all invited the attendees to have lunch with us at a nearby buffet place.

tivo dvr remote control image

I just got off the phone talking to my wife about programming our Tivo.  Our Directv DVR is not working so we had to use our backup in the bedroom. If you ever had the same problems that I had tying to explain to your better half over the phone how to program your tivo then here’s a map (image actually) of the Tivo Remote Control!  It’s so much easier walking her through it with this picture infront of you.

Hello Tatay! Happy Bday!

Postage Rate increase again! 1st class stamp to $0.42

It was just last year on May 14th 2007 when the USPS increased their rate from $0.39 to $0.41

Now by Monday May 12th 2008 the first class stamp will be $0.42
Maybe it’s time to buy one of those ‘forever stamps’ that the post office are selling.  Either ways it’s an additional price hike in this shaky economy.  Gas prices continously rises and food prices are not far behind.  In other countries even rice is a precious commodity.

It’s still under debate if America is really under recession or just in denial.  But one thing is for sure. It’s time for some frugal living.

Vacation post traumatic stress

It’s been over a week now since our family vacation up in NJ and now problems started to surface.  Mostly bacause of the result in poor planning. One of my cc was past overdue due to my carelessness in paying it in full the last time i handled it.

Haay nako..the joys of vacations…

Super H-Mart at Carrollton, Texas

There’s a new oriental store in the Carrollton area!  http://www.hmart.com
Hmart

(Note: Please be aware that it might ask you to install the Korean language pack-it’s up to you if you want to.)

It a korean supermarket off the GB Turnpike at Old Denton Road.  Of what I heard they have a restaurant and we are gearing to check it out today! I’ll post the experience once we come back.

Update: March 30-Sunday-
Maganda sya. Malaki at saka ang daming laman.  Marami pa silang aayusin pero mukhang may potential. Medyo magulo ang loob kasi maraming namimili dahil may promo silang raffle na pag nanalo ka ng 1st prize Mercedes Benz na SUV! Kaya siguro maraming naloloko!

Jersey 2008 Vacation

We are still resting after a week of vacation in New Jersey.  Everything was fine except on our final leg of the trip at the airport. Flights were delayed 2 days ago and we experienced the chain reaction of cancelled flights and the current high winds at the Newark airport.  They only had 1 runway open probably to avoid colliding with other planes that takeoff and lands.

I got tired of driving around from East Brunswick to Jersey City, Piscattaway, Edgewater, West Orange, Elizabeth and other local places.  Still gathering all those pictures including my mom’s 80th bday and if you have access to my personal online photo gallery feel free to check it out!

The New Knight Rider on NBC!

Cool! Just finished watching the new Knight Rider.  They switched the TransAm to a Mustang. Totally different voice and new techies installed.  Will sure be following this series.

Knight Rider Show Photos

here’s a snippet from the site..

As the original story resumes, the new KITT (Knight Industries Three Thousand) is absolutely the coolest car ever created: its supercomputer capable of hacking almost any system; its weapons systems efficient; and its body — thanks to its creator’s work and nanotechnology — is capable of actually shifting shape and color. Plus, its artificial intelligence makes it the ideal good cop partner: logical, precise and possessing infinite knowledge. It is the ultimate car — and someone will be willing to do anything to obtain it.
