I recently visited the tivo.com site to check it out since it has been about 2 years (i think) since I visited the tivo listing guide.  I didn’t get a chance to sit down in front of the tivo unit to actually schedule the recordings last week so I decided to work on it on my computer.

What amazes me is that 1-click record option. You click on on and you’re done! Of course there is a way to customize the 1-click record option to your preference like priority, video quality recording, keep until, start time and finish time.

There’s also an option to do a 1-click season pass but I haven’t tried that button yet.

The tivo tv listing guide also has that feature where you can select the full screen tv guide or the regular screen with navigational bar on the left side.

Overall I’m impressed on tivo effort in making the user experience less painful.

A rough translation can be ‘devious’ in pinoy street lingo. tak-u is ‘utak’ and langma-gu is ‘magulang’ so ‘utak magulang’.
Just like this penguin in this video that jumps into the boat to escape those killer whales that was after him.

I think somehow the penguin knew that the whales are not going to get close to humans and penguins are used to being with humans.

I used the code 19 on the Samsung Bd-c6500 Blu-Ray Player to program the remote control.  I just got around programming the remote control months after we bought this player and got a little tired of switching from one remote to another just to adjust the Visio TV volume.  TV Channel switching on my Visio is also enabled and same with the mute button.  One of my Visio TV’s remote feature that I couldn’t make to work on the Samsung disc player remote is that of the media source selector.

Also, one of the great feature of this Samsung Bd-C6500 Blu-Ray player is the built-in Wireless Lan.  Some blu-ray/dvd player that’s out in the market today needs an accessory to connect to your wireless lan in order to take advantage of the Internet capabilities of these new media players.

Recently, we had been watching Netflix thru this Samsung BD-c6500 Disc Player and with the HD streaming from Netflix it makes the picture quality very pleasant to view.

Its friday so while perusing the web I came across a couple of website that mentioned Tokneneng but not much about Apekoy.  What’s up with that? A few people knows about the origin of the word Tokneneng which means ‘egg’ or itlog in Batute’s language.

Batute is a comics or rather to put it in proper perspective – Pinoy ‘komiks’ character that has been patterned with the oldie ‘Bondjing’

But what about ‘Apekoy’ ? In Batute’s vocabulary, Apekoy mean ‘ice cream’!
well..time to get ready for work now and maybe I’ll get to revisit this post later on.  TGIFFF!!!!!!

I’m planning to create a spreadsheet detailing all my medical and dental expenditures and medical claims as well as my dental insurance claims. This project will identify various points like how much of my deductible is being used and if it has been used for the years worth.

It will also help me figure out how much medical expenses thru deductibles and copays I have been spending.
