Advertisement on my sites

The 1st time I started creating websites for my personal use I tried to do away with those advertising like banners and links and affliates things. My reasoning behind it was it is my personal website and I don’t want it to be like those free ones on yahoo & msn where they have lots of online advertising on the side panel, headers, and even on the content itself.  Just take a look at your emails from those free sites.  Most of them have some form of advertisement on the footer of the emails.  Of course its free so somehow they need to make money.

Now I have to bow down on my principles and put some form of advertisement on my sites. I will try to keep it to the minimum so it won’t interfere with the whole design. (what design? lol! ) but then again this post is directed to myself and not an apologetic post. actually I’m apologizing to my self. gets nyo?  ;)

Microsoft cutting 5,000 jobs due to economy

Even Microsoft is not immune to the economy.  According to source there will be job cuts across multiple areas like marketing and research and development over the period of 18th months and also 1,800 layoffs will begin immediately.  This is due to earnings not performing as expected. But with today’s economy it is really scary.  It’s not just microsoft. Other retailers are shutting down their stores and some of them totally closing it.

One of them is Circuit City which has filled bankcruptcy and gradually doing clearance sales (even though some are not really clearance-in my humble opinion).  Linen N Things is another store affected with this economy. I just hope we pass this turmoil and move on with our lives. Always the question is, where did we go wrong? Hmmm..better not go there..lots of finger pointing!

President Obama Inauguration today!

Today is a historic moment for all americans. Right now the inauguration of the 1st african-american president is being held at washington and a lot of people are watching this event!

I had been an amazing presidential race between McCain and Obama but at the end Obama prevails.  All races across the nation rejoiced at the event and now they are showing their support. All color, race, walks of life are participating in person or just by watching on tv.

Tui-Na Massage twice done

It has been our 2nd time getting those mall massages.  They call it Tui-Na Massage which literally means “pushing and grasping”. As always they claims it has been used in China for 2,000 years now and still being practiced at the sidwalks hence they have a lot of them around the malls.

So far it relieves my stress and tension on my neck and upper shoulders. My wife swears that it had help her a lot too.  The chair massage cost us $12 for 12 minutes and $20 for 20 minutes so $1 a minute is not bad if after the session you feel like a million dollars!

Yesterday I tried the 1 hour Full Body Massage and i think I fell asleep 4-5 times cuz’ I heard myself snore which woke me up since you have to feel the whole session to get your moneys worth.

how to erase all contents in bb 8310

I was given the task of wiping clean of all contents on my boss blackberry 8310 before handing it to another employee.  Of course I’m so stubborn and refuses to look it up in the manual on how to do it but I finally managed to wipe the blackberry clean with some trial and error. Here’s how you do it;bb 8310 erasing contents

1. go to settings-options-security options-general settings

2. scroll all the way down to Services and it should say *** no services ***

3. click and you should see the option to Wipe Handheld-click and watch it do its thing.

4. note: do not pull the battery out! be patient and wait! after it does its thing it will be a clean slate.

good luck!
