Started on the sunday newspaper in search of the elusive Nintendo Wii. Looked into all those electronics stores like Bst By, Crct Cty, ffrys, trget and even wlmart. All out of stock. they can’t even tell me when they are getting it!

Memorial day weekend! Random thoughts… Usual stuff..shopping at the mall with wife and youngest one…home improvement stuff at Lowes…5 for $10 soap at bath & body works…nephew graduation party..niece visiting the phil…express black with white stripes shirt for $19.95…another nephew having a birthday celebration….sugat sa paa na hindi pa gumagaling-ang sarap kalkalin…checking out clothes at jc penney..feeling sleepy…got thirsty-bought a strawberry pineapple smoothie…bombay…kickland stuff…last stop buckle boutique…at last home!
Oh wait…still need to show up on that grad party…

Feeling good! Looking good! lolz! I just have this special feeling of accomplishment today. Work related..yea..wierd! hehehhe! Anyways, I have a project that I was planning to do for the looongest time and finally got around it. It involves integrating data from one program to another but the raw data itself was the main problem. data files are well known to be manipulated in one form or another but this particular project of mine had to go to a series of data extractions and calculation in numerical and text concatenation. I even had to call on the power of vlookup function in excel and slew of other formulas i borrowed from the ol’ trustful google search. I had to deal with the military time conversion to standard time and….. ok..fine..i guess you get the picture..
So after the data had been prep it was time to dig in the Quickbooks help index.
Got the importing invoice topic…pretty detailed explanation..followed the example in creating an iif file..cut & paste data..saved the file..import..nothing…
tried it again..import..nothing…damn!
read help manual again..look at iif data…CRAP! you freakin forgot to put the ENDTRNS word!
ok..fixed..saved…import..YES!! it works!!
and now problem 1 has been solved! 29868764 problems more to go!

Just had a rude awakening this weekend. I was just doing it the hard way! If only I had stopped and planned what I was doing i could have save myself hours of misery and dispair. Wordpress is an awesome software that I just didn’t have enough common sense to look and see that it has it’s own import & export feature! Duuhhhhh!! That’s why i was coming up with less than nil on the google search on the query for wordpress database importing problem…because there shouldn’t be any problem! ayyaayaayyy! So these were the steps that I took to port over or you can tag it as - how to make a mirror site out of my wordpress blog;
of course some people have shorter ways to do this but this is just my general idea.. and I’m just happy that I have another reason to keep my 1and1 hosting.

After I fooled around in converting iso files to psp format i was baffled on how to put the freakin’ video file in the right folder where the psp can play it. I have tried to cut and paste it on different folders until i gave up and turn to the guru of all information. It lead me to this site…

At this point you have the files on your PC…and they are in the correct format.
4. How to download or transfer your movies to PSP? Just connect your PSP with your PC with the USB cable, and create a folder on your Memory Stick called “MP_ROOT.” and create a sub-folder called “100MNV01.” under it. Copy your MP4 files to this location (no need to copy the .HTM files).
5. Now on your PSP go to video and memory stick and watch your movie!
That’s it. It is real simple to put movies on your PSP!
Now about converting video files…that’s a different story..

Effective today May 14, 2007 the United States Postal Service increases their postage rate from .39 cents to .41 cents.
So if you still have a few .39 cents stamps laying around you need to go visit your local post office to get those
.01 cents 
or .02 cents 
stamps because the postal service won’t deliver your mail if it doesn’t have the correct postage!

Got the wordpress migration project working on the new host. Tried to work it out on one&one dot com but I’m having problems in importing the sql file to the new host database. Getting too frustrating just trying to figure out the error messages that myphpadmin gives out.
Go dad dot com on the other hand imports easily with just a few minor tweaks on the raw sql file.
Same prelim task just like the joomla migration project. ftp the whole folder from the old to the new host and create a new database.
Last project.. Coppermine photo gallery port over!
Hmmm.. Maybe next week or so… Want to enjoy my weekend…

Nag-lunch ako sa McDo sa loob ng Walmart kanina at syempre suplado ang dating pag lumalamon ako kaya sa wall ako naka-face. While chomping on my southwest chicken salad napatingin ako sa wall…Naalala ko yung dating office ni Erpat doon sa Juan Luna St. Binondo Manila. Doon sa lumang building…Marvel Building ata yun.
Yung office ni Erpat kasi dark mahogany ang plywood veneers. Heksekutive ang dating..kaso may kasamang amoy ipis! At sa tutoo lang..maipis talaga ang opis! Luma na kasi yung building na yun. Kaya nga lumipat sila ng opis bago nawala si Erpat. Pero daming memories ng office na yun. Doon ata nagsimula ang negosyo ni Erpat. I can’t seem to remember kung hanggang ilang floors yung building na yun pero ang opis dati namin ay nasa 4th floor. Pag may toyo ang elevator obligado kang umakyat sa batong hagdanan. Hilo ka nga lang pagdating mo sa itaas. Ska open yung mga bintana sa may stairways. Kita mo rin yung dumi sa inner side of the building. ska sa stairways ding ito nakatambay yung balot-balot ulam vendor. Pati miryenda may benta rin.
Minsan kasi trip kong pumunta ng office ni erpat. Minsan inuutusan ako..tapos noon parang hindi na makapag-hintay si erpat na lumaki ako para mag-take over daw sa business pinasasama ako sa mga ahente nya na nag-co-cold sales calls. Karamihan ng existing clients nya mga intsek. Yun din ata ang mga nagturo sa kanya ng import business. Tanda ko pa noon na malaki raw utang na loob nya sa mga kaibigan nyang intsek. Tapos pag Chinese New Year dami rin naming tikoy!
Anyways..balik sa opis. Dalawang sofa ang laman ng opis ng tatay ko pero total 3 area yun ni-re-rent nya. Leather ata yung sofa na yun na tinutulugan ni Erpat after lunch tapos si Ermat naman sa isang sofa. Normal practice na sa pinoy noon yung siesta at talaga naman recharged ka pag gising mo. Syempre sarap din at naka-aircon ka doon kaya feel mong mag-hilik to the max! Pati ata yung mga ahente nya sleep din..minsan nag-lalaro sila ng baraha at hindi ko naman maintindihan ang laro. Hindi pa uso ang pusoy dos. (hindi ko rin alam laruin yun..inutil talaga ako!)
Hindi ko nalaman kung paano kumikita si Erpat pero after a couple of years naka-jackpot sya tapos tuloy-tuloy na asenso nya. Bago naman sya nawala at least feel nya na he did accomplished a lot of things. and yes indeed….super talaga erpat ko…
Now back to reality.. tutuloy ko na yung excel spreadsheet ko..tama na bulakbol…

powered site and both works! It was planning to pick 1 but now I don’t have
the heart to uninstall these 2 working programs!
