Watch Instantly ng Netflix

Gets ko sa email kanina ang notice ng Netflix na ginawa na nilang unlimited ang viewing pleasure ko. Nice!  This is one of the things I like about this service. Yea..yea..a couple of post ago bad trip ako sa service nila dahil mapanlinlang sila pero may mga times na they shine din naman pala like this one.

Anyways, watch instantly is just one of their services.  You can select any movie out of their 6,000 plus selections and watch it on demand on your computer that’s connected to a broadband service.  Don’t even try viewing it if you have dialup connection. I have a dsl elite connection which should give me 6mb but we all know that I won’t see the day that I reach that threshold.

Ok din naman ang selection nila. You can view some of the old television series like Quantum Leap and some shortfilms and a couple of special interest documentaries.  O Sya..tama na ang plugins! Libreng advertisement na sila sa akin.

New Host Blu Ost

Eto nnaaahh!!
Nag-signup na ako sa bluhost to check them out kung ok nga. Mas marami  itong options at features na inoofer. The cpanel looks slick too. One  of the nice feature is that shell access. Pero I think the speed has  been degraded becuz shared hosting nga at ska looks very susceptible  sa atake ng mga tulisan.  May Fantastico rin sila to auto install  some GPL softwares like bloggers, CMS, and various open source  applications. Tamang tama sa mga no-frills users na concentrate lang sa usage  and not worry about installation and compatibility issues na kamukha ko
na sadista pagdating sa ganitong bagay. I always get side track sa pag  sosolve ng installation issues rather than the end results.

Mayor Lim banned computer games during class hours

World of Warcraft ba yun?  warcraft-clock-reign-of-chaos.gif

dsl upgrade update

after a couple of arguments with the AT&T tech support we both finally agreed that it was the unfiltered satellite reciever connection that was causing the speed downgrade. Here’s my latest speed report…

DSL upgrade

Just found out that my isp has been charging me for the higher rate but giving me service for the lower package.. so called and asked them to upgrade my service with the same price they are charging me.  As of today my broadband speed is;

putting video files in psp

After I fooled around in converting iso files to psp format i was baffled on how to put the freakin’ video file in the right folder where the psp can play it. I have tried to cut and paste it on different folders until i gave up and turn to the guru of all information. It lead me to this site…

http://ezinearticles.com/?How-to-Put-Movies-On-Your-PSP&id=133551

the info i was looking for was;

At this point you have the files on your PC…and they are in the correct format.

4. How to download or transfer your movies to PSP? Just connect your PSP with your PC with the USB cable, and create a folder on your Memory Stick called “MP_ROOT.” and create a sub-folder called “100MNV01.” under it. Copy your MP4 files to this location (no need to copy the .HTM files).

5. Now on your PSP go to video and memory stick and watch your movie!

That’s it. It is real simple to put movies on your PSP!

Now about converting video files…that’s a different story..

The Day RIM Stood Still

Finally got around posting this entry which was sitting in my blackberry notes for more than 4 months!  Well that’s one done in my list of unfinished business! 090507

On my way home from work I was trying to access one of my website using the blackberry internet. I noticed some hiccups in the system. Sometimes it loads the whole page but error started popping up. The first thing that came to my mind-virus! My blackberry’s infected!
I got home and started getting comfy and also noticed that my blackberry doesn’t beep that much..that is to notify me if an email just came in… The emails slowly came into a halt by 10pm which at that time I was already freakin out! Kept on sending myself emails after emails just to check if that damn thing works but no luck.
All the while I was blaming myself for somehow breaking my blackberry and now I can’t get any emails! Kasi before those things started happening I was adding another email profile into my BB then it started acting wierd.
By next morning I was determined to erase all data on my BB and re-provisioned it (Cingular terminology jargon for setting it up!) Did that and tried logging in the BB internet service. Wait… Can’t log in….call cingular rep…recording…damn! It said all blackerry access is down since last night! Crap! It wasn’t me!! Oh well..life sucks…
So with further research I found out that Research In Motion, the company that gave us this wonderful blackberry devices, was having some issues with their network. It was a major disaster! All those crackberry addicts were without a fix for a day!
RIM blames it on some coding error. Don’t want to pursue it any longer. My blackberry works now. That’s all I care.

CNN article about the RIM outage.

downloading contents from dish dvr

Had made the switch now from dish network to directv. Now I have a few days to download all those shows from my dvrs and burn them to dvds. Buti na lang at may dvd recorder ako dahil kung hindi bale wala lang lahat ng inipon naming wiggles show! Heheheh
Actually mas concern ang jowa ko sa mga christmas movies na ni-record nya from lifetime channel. Yung bang tipong drama with the christmas spirit intact.
Ok na rin. So eto. 45 hrs worth of shows to go…

Dish Network impending separation

Just wrote to Dish Network Customer service. Just got tired of all the crap. They charge for Dish Home protection which supposed to be an equipment-overall maintenance/insurance deal. I don’t know..I just had it…

Here’s an excerpt of what I wrote;

Majority of the channels that I have hasn’t been working for weeks now. Tired of calling your tech supports because we have done all the steps & know it by heart and still doesn’t work.  All that your tech people will do is to make us do all those steps again and loooong wait for the switch test to complete. if it ever works on a clear & sunny day, it’s erratic. we pay for dish protection $5+ a month do to the technical work for your company.
Ok. Now for the question. Will there be ANY cancellation or termination fee if I cancel my service by the end of this week? The last time I asked I was told I am on the month-to-month basis. Just wanted it clear before discontinuing my service and don’t want to pay anymore additional charges.
sorry for the long note. thank you.
