Kalabit Penge

Just came across this song by Wally and Jose -Kalabit Penge

The lyrics actually brings back memories noong nandoon pa ako sa Tondo.

Isa itong dabarkads kong mabait. Dehins to-its KP dahil may sariling sistema.

Eminent Hard Drive reformat

Paktay nah! There’s no other recourse but to reformat my old hard drive and reinstall Windows Xp.  I think i read somewhere on how to re-install windows xp without doing the activation process. Was it copy 2 files from the system folder and then recopy back to the newly installed windows? let’s try that…

Cingular & that stupid MediaNet!

Incompetent tech support service! What jerks! The 2nd to the last tech guy I had talked to sounded like an intimidating jerk! I think they should get rid of him. No help anyways. 2 days after the last time I talked to the Cingular tech department and they are still baffled (yea right!) on my dilema. It’s impossible that I was the only one who’s having this kind of problem. Heeelllooo! I saw this same situation posted on the Cingular customer forum but just so ticked-off to register to it so I can make a comment.

Don’t want to tear up Cingular as inconsiderate company but Cingular customer services just don’t have a clue on what’s going on! They can see from my data log ON THIER SIDE what is happening and Cingular tech support still pretends that it’s a new thing.

I know their quick fix will be…why don’t i switch to unlimited Cingular Media Net for so-and-so money for a month. Easy for them to say.. or maybe why don’t I get have my cingular media net just turned off to do away with this problem. Another Hellloooo??!!! Did I subscribed to the stupid Cingular media net for something????  Such a hopeless cause……

Cingular & my MediaNet

What is wrong with this list?…. Look at the times it’s connecting to the Internet. It’s been a freakin 3 long months now and Cingular still couldn’t fix this stupid problem! I already went through 4 replacement  phones with them and the whole thing still sucks! I know that other people are having the same problems but the damn tech dept still treat it as if was a new thing with them. aaarrrrggggghhh!!!!!!

Thieves target fallen officer’s grave

09:33 AM CDT on Thursday, September 21, 2006

By CHRIS HAWES / WFAA-TV

FORT WORTH — Officers are searching for thieves that targeted the grave of fallen Fort Worth Officer H.N. “Hank” Nava, who died in the line of duty in November, 2005.

Officer Nava died at the age of 39 after he was shot in the head while serving a warrant.

In July, two valuable vases were placed next to Officer Nava’s memorial marker at his grave. However, the next day, his widow found that the vases were missing.

She reported the crime and then replaced the vases; but once again, one of the vases was stolen.

The Fort Worth Police Department said the incident is being investigated, but said they had few leads to follow.

No other crimes were reported at the cemetery within the three month period the vases were reported stolen.

Katungkulan bilang taga-pamahala

Mahirap kasi ang makatao…may kunsensya..ok..salamat sa pagbabasa…feel much better now…

Bike thingy 2nd time

Just completed my 2nd day of biking regiment exercise.  Actually finished my makeshift course from the house to Lowes Center which is like 1.7miles aways so times two mo iyon and i did a 3.4 miles course!  Nakatamad na kasing mag-threadmill.  Siguro I also run on the threadmill 2x a week tapos 20 minutes lang isang session.

So hopefully I can keep this biking thing going for a while dahil kung hindi mamamatay ako sa alta-presyon.  Wala na kasi akong activity lately.  Kailangan ng konting cardio exercise.

Homeowners Association Meeting

We had our 2nd HOA meeting at the LEHS last wed and this time it went smoothly. I had to attent by myself cuz’ my better half had to stay home with the youngest due to a stomach virus that’s going around.

Last year’s meeting was a disaster! There was an issue about the community pool and it just dragged on and on.  Well now the Board of Directors were elected and the management will be pass on to the homeowners instead of the Developer Management.  Looks like the elected bunch will be competent enough to tackle the neighborhood issues.

10 Things That Will Get You Fired

By Laura Morsch, CareerBuilder.com writer

After spending weeks — or months — diligently looking for the perfect job, the last thing you want is to be forced back onto the job market.

A few wrong steps, however, and you might see a pink slip before a paycheck. If you want to guarantee your spot in the unemployment line, try some of these moves:

1. Don’t bother learning what’s expected of you.
Sit down with your manager and make sure you understand exactly what your job entails, your deadlines and any relevant department policies. This eliminates ambiguity and ensures you’ll know how your performance measures up.

2. Learn to say, “That’s not part of my job description,” and use it frequently.
Everyone needs to set limits, but doing only the bare minimum sends a clear message that you’re just interested in a regular paycheck. Sooner or later, your boss will start looking for someone willing to take more initiative.

3. Go shopping in the supply closet.
While you’re at it, run a few errands with the company car and pad your expense report. Stealing from the company is one of the best ways to guarantee your immediate dismissal.

4. Abuse company technology.
Think your boss won’t notice that you spend more time instant messaging your friends than you do working? Think again. Most companies monitor all their employees’ e-mails and Internet usage — and that includes what you do with your laptop after hours. Never use your company computer for anything illegal or X-rated.

5. Complain about your job to anyone who will listen.
Whether your pay is too low, the work is drudgery or you think your boss is an idiot, be careful of who hears you complain. If it gets back to your boss, she may just put you out of your misery.

6. Forget teamwork — look out for No. 1.
No one wants to work with an arrogant employee who steals ideas or an egotistical worker who demeans others. Helping your co-workers doesn’t make you a pushover, it makes you smart. Likeable employees move up the company ranks more quickly, and your colleagues will be more likely to help you find leads when you launch your next job search.

7. Bring your personal life to work.
It’s inevitable that personal business is going to pop up during work hours. But keep in mind that cubicles don’t lend any privacy, so the whole office can hear — and are distracted by — you making that appointment with your waxer. Keep personal calls and errands to a minimum during work hours.

8. Consistently work “abbreviated” workdays.
Want to show your boss how little you care about your job or career progress? Regularly come in late and leave early. After all, if you can’t be trusted to show up on time, how can your boss trust you with more responsibility?

9. Treat deadlines more like guidelines.
When you procrastinate, everyone suffers. Your missed deadlines reflect poorly on you and your boss, and they delay everyone else on the project, since they can’t finish their work until you do yours.

10. Operate the gossip mill.
While you can’t avoid office gossip completely, don’t get caught spreading it. Think about it: Do you really want hurtful or untrue rumors to be traced back to you? And remember: A few martinis are no excuse for getting loose-lipped.
